JT Wu Endorsed by Run For Something in Historic Campaign for Georgia State House

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA. – Run for Something (RFS), a groundbreaking organization that recruits and supports strong voices in the next generation of progressive leadership, has officially endorsed JT Wu's historic campaign for the Georgia State House in the newly drawn District 97 (containing parts of the cities of Berkeley Lake, Duluth, Norcross, and Peachtree Corners).
If elected, Wu would be the first Chinese American male to ever serve in the Georgia General Assembly.
“I'm thrilled that our positive and homegrown State House campaign has been officially endorsed by Run For Something," said JT Wu in a statement. "Their support amplifying diverse voices is invaluable, and our historic campaign is excited to keep fighting so that every voice is heard and every vote is counted – both here in Gwinnett County and all across the Peach State. I'm honored that our positive vision for Georgia's next generation continues to gain momentum across our diverse District!”
“Run for Something candidates show us what it means to effectively advocate for positive change and lead with their communities in mind. Our democracy is stronger because of their leadership and we can’t wait to see where this next group of endorsees takes us” said co-founder Amanda Litman.
The endorsement process includes an extensive internal review with background check, staff interviews, and insights from local state experts.
Wu's campaign further noted that RFS's support adds additional momentum to the campaign's broad coalition of existing endorsements, including the Georgia Advancing Progress PAC, the Asian American Action Fund's Georgia Chapter, Gwinnett Commissioner Ben Ku, and Gwinnett's sitting Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux.
